People start to drop in from all corners of Southeast Asia and we are working late hours to prepare for tomorrow’s opening. I don´t know much about our foreign invaders yet, but have a great feeling about these writers. Good vibes and creativity, what else is needed. So far I have only been able to track down the people from next door Thailand and they have an amazing record.

We are opening tomorrow and around 3 p.m there will be live painting and music. Come on down and support us and the first real Asian graffiti/street art exchange in Boogie Down Yangon. You will find us at 458, Corner of Manawhayi street and Myoma Kyaung street, Dagon Tsp (brown condo under construction near Summit Park view)

Below are some shots of our work in progress and the two paintings I will present at the opening. They are part of a new series (inshallah) which I call #Artistanonymous. It is mixed media on canvas using acrylic, enamel, watercolour in symbioses with glue and shanpaper.

This is it, on Feb 4 we invite all of you for the opening of “Rendezvous” Urban art/group exhibition. It will be a big mix of abbreviations, styles and people representing SE Asia (and stonecold Sweden) in Boogie Down Yangon. Come and support your local vandals!

Burners not Bombs

The first painting of 2012 is ready to go. The working title is #Artistanonymous and it is a mixed media on canvas that will be part of a group exhibition that is opening on February 4 2012. I will get back with more details about the show as soon as possible. All I know is that it has an urban theme and a lot of abbreviations will be in the line-up, does YSA, NSH, SCY, OKP ring a bell. Until the opening I will only give some teasers of the painting in progress. Hope to see you at the opening!

I just came back from a late night walk in Bangkok

For those of you that have bought my limited prints, don´t worry, these are rejects that are being wasted on the public!

What can I say,

It was one of the best evenings in my life and best of all is that I can remember most of it (even though I was overwhelmed with work and stress before the opening). Thank you so much, everyone that have been supporting me and all the people that came to look and bought my artwork. I hope you know who you are! We had planned for the full moon (we still have problem with electricity here) but I promise you that the lunar eclipse, making the event even more special, was ordered by someone else. For those of you who could not make it, the show is open until 17th of December so please drop by and have a look, and do not hesitate to contact me about the work. After all the purpose was to create a discussion. Until next time, maaaaadlove to everyone for supporting and pushing the artistic expression in Myanmar forward, respect.

I am still overwhelmed from yesterdays opening of my solo show BETA Version. Therefore, I decided just to upload all the works I have been struggling with during this year before starting to comment on them. Still, I want to give a huge shout-out to everyone that have been supporting me to realize this very special event, thank you everyone, for the help, for coming to the opening, for buying and supporting my art, for spreading love………… Sharing this time on the rooftop, I guess it make sense to say that only sky is the limit. Honestly, the eclipse was just a bonus, I only ordered a full moon for the evening……….. Respect

About BETA version exhibition:

With trivial manipulations I want to challenge understandings, presumptions and aspirations. By deconstructing everyday images, re-defining the information and reconstructing it back to its original form, perceptions begin conflicting and semiotic distortions transmit reverberations of the society we have come to know.

The result is an illustrated debate; it is about realizing dreams and accomplishing the impossible, open source in a reachable distance. It is about struggle, coexistence and being painfully average – perpetual BETA versions.
